A MEANINGFUL EXPERIMENT

A suitable biological experiment is performed to reveal a ligand/receptor affinity reaction. This experiment involves big temperature changes. This Graph 1) shows the frequency response of the working and reference quartz.

The Graph 2) shows both the Working and the Reference frequency variations. The first difference between the two graphs (a) is due to the mass of the sensitive film sticked only on the Working quartz. The second difference (b) reveal the affinity reaction.

Graph 2)

The graph of the difference between the Working frequency variation and the Reference frequency variation shows in a very easy way, see the Graph 3), the ligand receptor affinity reaction. After the affinity reaction, the mass on the Working quartz is increased, causing about a 150Hz frequency variation.
