GENERAL
INFORMATIONS
World-wide innovation: the first nanogravimetric
scientific instrument (QCM) self powered
by the PC USB port, it is a device extremely
compact, light, reliable and designed according
to the new frontiers of microelectronics.
To
work with Eureka it is enough to connect
it to a USB port of your PC and to install
the user-friendly acquisition software working
in Windows™ environment, then the first
experiments can be carried out in short
time; you don't need to connect numerous
cables and you don't need to read complicated
user manuals.
For
the liquid phase measures Eureka is equipped
with an external connector that supplies
an electrical connection to the quartz electrode
in contact with the liquid sample. This
allows the use of quartz electrode as Working
Electrode (WE) in an electrochemical system,
therefore Eureka can work as EQCM when is
connected to a potentiostat, performing
at the same time electrochemical and nanogravimetric
measures.
Eureka,
if connected to a portable notebook PC,
allows to carry out experiments in total
freedom, in locations without power supply,
for example to carry out experiments outside
of the laboratory, or in wide areas in total
movement freedom.
It
is possible to perform the measures both
on liquid samples, thanks to the static
or flow cells, and in gaseous phase, using
a measure cell purposely planned for this
kind of analyses. Moroever BioAge can design
and personalize cells different in volumes,
dimensions and materials to fit your specific
needs.
The
Eureka instrument is very versatile, because
the measure range of frequency can space
from 0 to 50Mhz, according to the quartz
crystal used.
