GENETICS
Science discussing the hereditary characters and their transmission modalities. In the recent years the genetics is the Biology branch in greater development, in particular respect to the hereditary diseases. The greater interests concern the rare genetic diseases mapping, and the localization of mutated genes on a chromosome and on its specific region.
The diseases caused from genetic mutations are beyond 7000. Unfortunately only about one thousands are diagnosticable by genetic screening and few of these have already an effective cure: often they are almost unknown and rare diseases .Only few years ago the human genome sequencing has been concluded, this is very important for the understanding of the mutations correlated to genetic diseases.

GENETIC ENGINEERING
In the last years often hear about Genetic Engineering, the projectual attitude to the living organism genetic patrimony. The genetic engineering techniques consist of the genes transfer from a specie to another one. This transfer demands the location of the specific gene functions individuation, and the understanding of its interactions with the other genes present both in the donor and receiving organisms.
For example it's possible to produce pharmaceutical molecules through bacterial cultures in laboratory rather than to realize them by means of chemical synthesis, or rather than to modify the human genetic equipment (genetic therapy) whose diseases are caused by DNA errors that made them incapable to produce fundamental substances for the survival.
